Animoids 3D Movie Maker provides a shortcut into the complex world of 3D character modeling, with a set of starter models, textures, movie sets, and scenes that can be combined to form the foundation of an animated video.

The basic figure created through this piecework process can be controlled by mouse clicks, and given motion and personality. Different pieces of the body can be duplicated and reattached to form unique characters. We found a few quirks in the animation templates–the female figure looks much younger than the male counterpart, for example.

The program takes some time and study to master, with an extraordinarily broad set of features, and a minimal help file. Nevertheless, we would highly recommend it to beginners in the complicated field of computer animation.
